North Tahoe Arts call to artists and holiday classes in Tahoe City

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Applications accepted through Wednesday, Nov., 17, and#8220;Awaken Your Souland#8221; for December in the Main Gallery. Do you have artwork that represents the spiritual aspects of your creativity? All mediums are welcome, painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, fabric art, jewelry, create a sacred alter or object. Have you been inspired by sacred places you have visited or envisioned or indigenous cultures, myths or symbolism? Are you inspired to create your lifeand#8217;s or souland#8217;s journey in your art? These are the themes weand#8217;re looking for.

Gallery fee will be split among participating artists. Exhibit and Sales dates are Nov. 29-Jan. 2. Opening Reception is Friday, Dec. 3, 5-7 p.m. Visit http://www.northtahoearts.com for application under 2010 Exhibits. For more information call 530-581-2787.

North Tahoe Arts and Mountain Creative Reuse will offer unique Holiday Craft classes featuring reclaimed materials for one of kind gifts for your loved ones. Itand#8217;s a fun and green holiday class. All reclaimed materials have been donated from local businesses instead of filling our landfills. Learn how to create beautiful and original pieces with blown bike tires, scraps of fabric, used bottle caps and more. Instill the values of recycling and reuse with your family and have fun doing it. Learn how and take it back to your extended family for a fun holiday get together project. Dates and projects will include holiday cards, ornaments, and unique gifts.
