Rotary Club of Truckee announces 32nd Annual Cadillac Ball

TRUCKEE and#8212; The Rotary Club of Truckee recently announced the theme for the 32nd Annual Cadillac Ball to be held Nov. 13, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe. The theme of this yearand#8217;s event is and#8220;Shaken, Not Stirredand#8221; a catch phrase of Ian Flemingand#8217;s fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond, and his preference for how he wished his martini prepared.

The always popular Cadillac Ball is attended by Truckee and North Lake Tahoe residents and visitors. The event features a three-course, gourmet, sit-down dinner, live entertainment and dancing. In addition, there will be an extensive silent and live auction, and grand prize raffle for a 2010 Cadillac SRX. Event tickets are available for $150 each. Only 350 event tickets will be sold, so attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets quickly. Raffle tickets are $100 each with discounts on multiple raffle tickets priced at three for $275 or 10 for $800.

All net proceeds from the Cadillac Ball go to charities in the community and international Rotary projects. The proceeds from last yearand#8217;s Cadillac Ball funded 36 different groups in the areas of children service, environmental improvements, Truckee town projects and events, and people in need. Additionally, the Rotary Club of Truckee not only contributes locally but also internationally through distribution of funds directed toward international Rotary projects designed to expand Rotaryand#8217;s humanitarian reach around the globe.



Lodging is available at The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe for Cadillac Ball guests for the night of Saturday, Nov. 13 at a rate of $150 per room.
