Sunshine letter Anderson family
December 11, 2009
To the residents of Truckee and the Tahoe Forest Hospital Staff,
My family and I want to express our utmost appreciation for the fantastic work done by Tahoe Forest Hospital’s ICU staff and doctors to restore my dad, Denny Anderson, to health during his 35-day ICU stay in Truckee. We were very impressed by the level of personal care that was given to my dad and to my mom and brother while we impatiently waited for my dad to wake up and begin the healing process.
I also cannot express enough gratitude to all of the Truckee locals who took the time to ensure that my family had homemade meals brought to our home or to the hospital three times per day during those 35 emotional days.
After 35 days in Truckee’s ICU, and another month at Tahoe Pacific in Sparks, my dad was released from the hospital just prior to the 4th of July.
He is now back to work, (easing back in), and biking and swimming, working hard to get his muscle tone back. Only in a small community do you have the opportunity to get to know your hospital staff during a trying time, and Truckee, I now know that we have a fantastic team! Thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, RTs, lab techs, x-ray personnel, and staff at Tahoe Forest! And thanks to all of you locals who kept our bellys full.
and#8212; Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The Anderson Family (Krista, Kyle, Lois, and Denny)
