TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; The three kindergarten classes at Tahoe Lake Elementary in Tahoe City study the national and state symbols of our country to celebrate Presidentand#8217;s Day. In addition to singing patriotic songs and poems, students make an American flag, a bald eagle and the statue of liberty. At the end of the unit, the students illustrate and write about a symbol of their choice. Itand#8217;s a fun way to learn about what it means to live in America.
