TAHOE CITY, Calif. – The three kindergarten classes at Tahoe Lake Elementary in Tahoe City study the national and state symbols of our country to celebrate President’s Day. In addition to singing patriotic songs and poems, students make an American flag, a bald eagle and the statue of liberty. At the end of the unit, the students illustrate and write about a symbol of their choice. It’s a fun way to learn about what it means to live in America.
