Tahoe Workshop explores Christian and Eastern contemplative practices in Incline Village

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; Lake Tahoe area residents are invited to learn Christian and Eastern traditions of contemplative practice in a workshop called and#8220;The Kingdom of God Is Within You,and#8221; presented by The Center for Contemplative Practice, June 4-5. Held at St. Patrickand#8217;s Episcopal Church, 341 Village Blvd., Incline Village, Nev. the workshop explores the meaning and significance of the Kingdom of God, for us and in the world.

Participants will learn new techniques for stilling the mind and becoming more aware of divine presence. Each workshop session involves reflecting on a short, provocative text by the Rev. Dr. Jim Beebe, discussing its significance, and learning physical and contemplative prayer practices to go deeper within. People of all faith traditions are warmly welcomed to these active and interactive presentations by Kim Orr, executive director, The Center for Contemplative Practice; Rev. Dr. Jim Beebe, rector, St. Patrickand#8217;s Church and Rev. Clare Novak, interfaith minister.
