TNT andamp; PDC Cheer andamp; Dance take three first places

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; TNT andamp; PDC Cheer andamp; Dance traveled to Anaheim, Calif. April 30 and May 1 to compete at the Knottandamp;#8217;s Berry Farms California State Championship Competition. Coach Teri McKinney of Truckee traveled to L.A. with four teams. The Junior Cheer Level 2, Junior Hip-Hop, Senior Cheer Level 4.2 and International Hip-hop team all competed.The competition had teams from Northern California, Northern Nevada and Canada. The Junior Cheer Level 2 team took first place, Senior Cheer Level 4.2 third place and the International Hip-hop team first place. The Junior Hip-hop team lead by Team Captain Kaylee Bustos of Kings Beach placed first.The Hip-hop teams will compete June 4 and 5 at The Pioneer Performing Arts Center in Reno, Nev. at the Starbound Dance Competition. TNT andamp; PDC is also excited to be a part of Artown this summer. The show andamp;#8220;Dance of Noiseandamp;#8221; will be on July 23 starting at 7:30 p.m. at McKinley Arts andamp; Cultural Center, Reno, Nev. The cost is a $5 donation. The Dance of Noise is a journey of imaginary exploration that highlights hip-hop, break dancing, lyrical, Salsa, ballet, acrobatics, movement and aerial stunts. This show explores themes of paranoia, harmony, sadness, power and fantasy. An urban odyssey to the heart of the human feelings and imagination. Itandamp;#8217;s a world where dreams and reality intertwines. Get lost in the imaginary urban world that stimulates your imagination from beginning to end. This show has dancers ages 4 to adult. The emotional roller coaster ride will end with the awakening of our dreamer.The Director is Teri McKinney and the Artistic Director is Heidy Quill of Arizona. TNT andamp; PDC is offering different dance workshops every Wednesday night at 6 p.m. during the month of July. (July 6 andamp;#8211; Contemporary/Lyrical, July 13- Jazz Fusion, July 20-Funk Beyond Control Darnell Carroll Bay Area Hip-Hop, July 27-Break Dancing) cost of workshops is a 5.00 donation. TNT andamp; PDC offer programs year round for all levels ages 4 to adults, including All Star Cheer teams, tumbling, competitive Hip-Hop teams, Special Needs classes in dance and cheer. Also, all forms of dance: Ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. Classes start at $25 a month (one class a week) at 3570 Barron Way, Suite B/C, Reno, Nev. For more information call 775-843-4868.
