Truckee Cub Scout Pack 734 Rain Gutter Regatta and Flag Day celebration

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Truckee Cub Scout Pack 734 will be sailing in the regatta and#8212; the Rain Gutter Regatta, that is and#8212; June 14, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Truckee Regional Park. This event is an opportunity for boys in Truckee from soon-to-be kindergarten graduates on up to experience the fun of scouting. Boys will sail miniature balsa-wood kit-built racing yachts down rain gutters. New boys will have an opportunity to make the boats at the event. There will also be an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of Cub Scouts in first-fourth grade. Because this is Flag Day, games and events will celebrate the Stars and Stripes.

The Boy Scouts of Troop 267 will join the fun with cooking and camping demonstrations.

Adventurous boys in first-fifth grade for the 2011-2012 school year are encouraged to attend. Parents will have the opportunity to register their boy for next year’s Scouting activities. A picnic hot dog dinner will be served.
