Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District wins best in state awards

TRUCKEE – Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District has received awards from the California Association of Recreation and Parks Districts for “Best New Facility” and “Outstanding Large District” for 2010.The new 40,000 sq. ft. Community Recreation Center is located at 8924 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, near Highway 89 and offers the community a world class facility that includes: Two-court gymnasium, indoor running track, exercise equipment, two climbing walls, (one is 29′ tall), preschool, afterschool, dance and exercise rooms, community classrooms and meeting space, kitchen facilities, District offices, community art displays, seating areas and fireplaces.The second award was for best Recreation & Park District in California. The award is presented to the District that brings outstanding service and delivery of their facilities and programs to the community.
