Truckee Donner Soroptimist member reaches 25-year mark
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; In 1984 Joan Hartwell bought Truckee Variety and was in retail for 15 years. She met Pat Callahan and Linda Brown, who both invited her to get acquainted with the Truckee Donner Soroptimist Club. Joining the Club in 1986 was and#8220;the beginning of a wonderful journey in community service for me,” said Hartwell. and#8220;I treasure our Club for all it does for others, for giving me the opportunity to spread my wings in becoming a responsible leader in the community and for the friendships I have gained over the years.
