Truckee Optimist Club looking for car entries and vendors

The Truckee Optimist Club will be holding their 19th annual Cannibal Cruise Classic Car Show on July 10, 11, 12 at Truckee Regional Park.
According to Norm Nicholls, event publicity chair, and#8220;We are really focusing on getting local people out to the car show this year, not only as spectators, but also as participants.and#8221;
Show off your car, participate in the Poker Run or sell your wares. and#8220;We are looking for local vendors/hobbyists for the two and a half day event,and#8221; said Nicholls. and#8220;In addition, non-profit organizations and civic groups will be allowed free space at the cruise for informational booths.and#8221;
The Cannibal Cruise is a three-day car show that is one of Truckeeand#8217;s biggest and most successful summer events. In 2008 there were 230 classic vehicles on display and thousands of spectators and participants came to the event.
Weekend events include static car displays, craft faire, live music, continuous entertainment, Sock Hop, Poker Run and Poker Walk, games and entertainment just for the kids, parade of winners, lots of food, and much more. Admission is free so plan on bringing the whole family out to the park and enjoy the cars, weather, and entertainment.
