This easy tour explores the parksandamp;#8217; spectacular lakefront and the grounds of the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion estate. Learn about the natural environment that attracted Tahoeandamp;#8217;s earliest settlers and explore the fascinating history of this Tahoe landmark. The Snowshoe Through History hike starts at 11 a.m. and begins near the restrooms in the Day Use side of the park (lake side entrance off Highway 89). Help the Sheldon familyRick Sheldon, owner of Sunshine Painting Company passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 1, 2012 while powder skiing at Homewood Mountain Resort. He was a loving husband, father and friend and will be sorely missed by everyone.The friends of the Sheldon family have set up a memorial fund to help the family with expenses at this difficult time. Our mountain community is always so kind to each other in times of trouble.
