The Incline Village General Improvement District senior program will offer snowshoe programs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays with informative presentations on senior nutrition. The program focuses on meeting and addressing the fitness and nutritional needs of the Incline Village, Crystal Bay senior community. Monthly presentations provide nutritional education in a relaxed, social setting with delicious healthy foods to enjoy. For information or to register call (775) 832-1310.

In an effort to provide alcohol and other drug prevention services in the Tahoe-Truckee community, interested individuals are encouraged to get together to form a working group around this important community issue. On Feb. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Town of Truckee, 10183 Truckee Airport Road, there will be a discussion about the purpose and scope of this working group, steps to create a strategic prevention plan, an assessment of our community’s drug and alcohol personality, and the creation of action steps and a timeline. Beginning Square Dance lessons for school students over 12 years of age and adults. Singles and couples are welcome. Dancers who have not danced for a while are encouraged to come and enjoy us. Our caller is Jim Marwin from Reno. He has called Square Dancing for many years. Experienced dancers will be there to help you. Tahoe Cross Country in Tahoe City hosts a Yoga andamp; Skate Ski Clinic Sunday, Feb. 7, 9 a.m., with yoga being held in the resort’s yurt, which is heated by a woodstove. After yoga, a skate skiing class helps participants focus on what they learned about body alignment in the yoga class. Each workshop is open to the public. Cost is $20 per person per class.
