Tahoe Yoga Institute presentsTahoe Yoga Institute (TYI), Tahoe Cityandamp;#8217;s community yoga studio, is offering two special winter Yoga/Skate Ski Clinics designed to share asanas or postures to enhance skate skiing technique. Tim Hauserman, Tahoe local and author of andamp;#8220;Monsters in the Woods: Backpacking with Childrenandamp;#8221; and TYI instructors Tammy Miller and Caroline McNally will lead two groups on Jan. 10 and Feb. 7 in a yoga class and skate skiing lesson at the Tahoe Cross Country Center. All proceeds from the show are being donated in her name to the AIDS Lifecycle event, a seven-day ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS research. Dennison, a Truckee native, planned on riding in this event before her life was tragically cut short while using a crosswalk in San Francisco. Friends and family will ride the event in memory of Dennison, and Hip Hop for Hope will help raise funds.Live performances by Cambo and The Life, DJ Effective, and D-funk will keep you grooving.
