Truckee Tahoe Sunshine Letters

The Truckee Donner Historical Society would like to thank the Rotary Club of Truckee for the generous grant awarded for the Old Jail Museum and Joseph Research Library cataloging and archiving project. This grant will enable the Society to inventory the museum collection and many library resources, and ultimately to provide website access to images of items too fragile to handle or too numerous to display. Thank you, Rotary Club, for helping us to preserve and share our historical heritage.

Sincerely,

Katie Holley

The Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation would like to thank Sugar Bowl, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Royal Gorge and Boreal for their support in the first half the Skiing for Schools program. On select dates the resorts contribute a portion of their revenues from the sale of special discounted tickets to the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation. With the support of the community and the participating ski resorts the first half of the programand#8217;s season raised more than $40,000 for the Foundation. Spring Skiing for Schools dates are scheduled at Sugar Bowl, Homewood, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Excellence in Education would also like to extend a special thanks to Porters Sports who serves as a ticket outlet for the benefit days. The Foundation hopes the community recognizes the generosity of these companies and their commitment to improving our community through enhanced education.
