What is vertical gardening?
February 16, 2012
TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Cedar House Sport Hotel will open its doors to the community for a free presentation about vertical gardening by Tower Gardens Tuesday, Feb. 21, 6 p.m. The presentation will take place 6:30-8 p.m. and with ample time to learn about Tower Gardenand#8217;s patented vertical gardening products.
The Tower Garden is a plug and play vertical garden that comes with everything required to start growing a variety of plants including lettuce, herbs, edible flowers and tomatoes. It is easy to assemble and uses a closed system to recycle 100 percent of the nutrients and water used for growing. This means the plants use as little as five percent of the nutrients and water commonly used in conventional and organic farming. According to Tower Garden users, vegetables grow in half the time it normally takes them to grow in soil.
and#8220;We are excited to learn more about Tower Garden and look forward to experimenting with vertical gardening to increase the amount of fresh produce that we serve at Stella,and#8221; explained Patty Baird, owner of Cedar House Sport Hotel.
