Women Empowering Women present Jeannine Karnofsky and the art of Journaling in Truckee
October 19, 2010
TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; In previous generations, it was very common to keep a diary or personal journal. Today few people do it and very few recognize the value and power of this practice. If you can read and write, you have access to an amazing source of personal power and magic. An active journal writer, Jeannine Karnofsky has used this therapeutic tool for years and will hold a workshop Thursday, Oct. 21, 10-11:30 a.m. at For Goodness Sake Meeting Room, 10157 Donner Pass Road, Truckee.
Journaling is inexpensive, always available and provides an opportunity to say and do as you please. Women Empowering Women will discuss the options of journaling, what tools you will need, how to motivate yourself, and benefits. You will do several exercises to see how easy and enjoyable it is to open the secret place of unspoken feeling and creativity. Letand#8217;s have fun. Bring a journal and a favorite pen to this interactive session.
Married to her grammar school sweetheart, Jeannine and her husband have lived in the Truckee/Incline area for 20 years. Jeannine is an artist who specializes in personalized pet portraits. Four years ago, Jeannine was one of the founding members of Women Empowering Women, which coincides with her lifetime passion for womenand#8217;s rights.
