KINGS BEACH, Calif. — This week's question: How well are Tahoe-Truckee roads being cleared of snow this winter?
Here are answers, as asked Monday in Kings Beach:
Ken Viel, Realtor, Incline Village: "They seem to be doing pretty good. I've had no problem getting around."
Jean Gregg, daycare center employee, Kings Beach: "Not very well. You get a lot of slush, and to me, it's not maintained as far as getting it off … California does a better job than Nevada."
Brad Thompson, retired, Kings Beach: "As far as I'm concerned, OK. I don't have any trouble with 4-wheel drive and studded tires."
Marianne Mika, retired, Incline Village: "I live in Incline, and I don't think they are being cleaned very well. I think they are doing a pretty good job on M. Rose, but the side streets in Incline … are not being plowed very well."
