HOMEWOOD, Calif. and#8212; Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Maritime Museumand#8217;s mission is to stimulate an interest in and an understanding of Lake Tahoeand#8217;s rich maritime history through the highest standards of historic preservation, innovative interpretation and public education. Whether you choose to attend the informative lecture, the free exhibition or the only free entrance during Living History Day at the Tahoe Maritime Museum, youand#8217;ll find this series of events informative, wet and wild.

Water Ski Roundtable

Part of the Maritime Lecture Series, Thursday, July 22, 5 p.m. with refreshments, 5:30-7 p.m., program. Panel discussion on the history of water skiing at Lake Tahoe. Raffle of great water ski and wakeboard prizes. Includes light refreshments Admission: $8 adults, free for children under 12. During the Water Ski Roundtable, members at the $100 level and above may sign up for an opportunity to view the Water Ski Exhibition from the Museumand#8217;s Ride Boat (24 seats available). Contact the museum if you are unable to attend the event, but would like to sign up for a ride at 525-9253, ext. 101.



Water Ski Exhibition

South end of Obexerand#8217;s Marina pier, Friday, July 23, 8-10 a.m. On-the-water exhibition of water skiing. Demonstration of aquaplaning, slalom skiing, kneeboarding, double skiing, wakeboarding and wakeskating. View the exhibition from the lake shore (bring your lawn chairs) or by boat. Raffle of great water ski and wakeboard prizes. Admission: Free for all ages!



Living History Day

Free for all ages, Saturday, July 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Temporary exhibits and vessels in the parking area, view the new Water Ski Exhibit, fun activities for children: Face painting, hands-on crafts, fishing for Tahoe trout and more. Ice Cream Bar, make your own ice cream sundae, noon-5 p.m. Guided tours at noon and 2 p.m. Raffle of great water ski and wakeboard prizes. Admission: Free for all ages!
