Ose announces run for Congress

Promising low taxes, austere government and tough immigration laws, Doug Ose announced today in Auburn that he will run for Congress.

Ose is running for the Republican nomination for the 4th District to fill the shoes of Congressman Rep. John Doolittle (R-Roseville), who recently announced he would not run again after becoming politically vulnerable.

Ose was surrounded by Placer County Republicans and was introduced and endorsed by 3rd District Congressman Dan Lungren and State Senator Dave Cox.

Noticeably absent was Doolittle, who said he would not endorse anyone for the GOP nomination after announcing he was out of the race.

Also absent was State Senator Sam Aanestad (R-Grass Valley) who thought about the 4th District race and then endorsed former state senator Rico Oller for the GOP nomination.
