Squaw Valley cancels fireworksOlympic Valley – Due to extremely dry conditions and in the best interest of safety and fire prevention, Squaw Valley USA has canceled its annual Independence Day Fireworks Show at High Camp Wednesday, July 4.Although the fireworks have been canceled, the Cable Car and High Camp will be in operation until 9 p.m. For more information visit http://www.squaw. com or call 583-6955.Kings BeachFestivities will be held Tuesday, July 3, at Kings Beach State Recreation Area, with a fireworks display starting after 9 p.m. from a barge in front of the North Tahoe Community Conference Center.The Arts & Crafts Fair, which the NTBA sponsors, will be held at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, Saturday, June 30 through July 4.Tahoe CityBusinesses, organizations and individuals are invited to sponsor the 55th Annual Tahoe City Fireworks scheduled Wednesday, July 4, 9:30 p.m. at Commons Beach.Approximately 25,000 residents and visitors are expected to attend the free fireworks extravaganza, which will be launched from a barge on the lake.
