Overeaters Anonymous meetings held weekly in Incline Village

Is food a problem for you? Overeaters Anonymous (OA) may be the answer for you.

It’s not a diet club, but a worldwide fellowship of people recovering from compulsive overeating and compulsive eating behaviors. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins.

OA formed in 1960 and is a 12-step program patterned after Alcoholics Anonymous. OA members maintain anonymity, which allows the group to offer unconditional acceptance and support of all.

OA is not associated with any religious doctrine — all are welcome. Weekly meetings are held Mondays at 6-7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church at 341 Village Blvd. in Incline Village.

Newcomers or returning members can just show up to a meeting or call RC at 775-745-6807 for more information. To learn more about OA, visit http://www.oa.org or locally at http://www.nnsi.oar2.org.
