Ownership of Kings Beach bar changes hands

KINGS BEACH “-The ownership of the Tradewinds Bar in Kings Beach changed hands Feb. 18 when its deed was conveyed to Seattle-based Sterling Savings Bank.

Sterling Savings Bank was the highest bidder at a public auction for $1.423 million.

The amount owed on the property by former owner Linda Catron to Fidelity National Title Company was $1.425 million. Catron took out the loan in June 2007.



Catron did not return calls for comment. Officials from Sterling Savings Bank did not respond to the Bonanza by press time.

Catron is also listed as the owner of another foreclosed property in Tahoe Vista. According to documents from the Placer County Recorder’s Office , Tradewinds Owner Catron borrowed $452,000 from GN Mortgage in December 2006 regarding a property in Tahoe Vista.



The property was bought back by the beneficiary at a public sale Feb. 17 for $335,618.35.
