Patrols increased in Truckee after potential homicide

TRUCKEE ” The investigation into a possible homicide continues ” the first in town since 2004.

Truckee Police, the California Department of Justice, and the FBI are investigating the death of Beverly Beatrice Williams, 77, who was found in her Tahoe Donner Home on Bavarian Way last Thursday, April 30.

The last homicide in Truckee was a body dumped in Tahoe Donner Club House parking lot in 2004, said Lt. Harwood Mitchell.

As of Thursday evening, Truckee Police had no further updates on the investigation, Mitchell said.

Mitchell said additional patrols have been assigned in Truckee’s residential neighborhoods.
