Peter Malcolm Davison passed on June 19, 2009 in his home in Truckee, California. Pete lost his battle with small cell lung cancer, however he died peacefully in his sleep with family at his side. He is survived by four sons, two daughters, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his two sons Lorn and Joe and his wife Wilma.

Pete was born in Trail, British Colombia, Canada on June 15, 1929 to Lemuel and Francis Davison. He spent his youth in Trail and then moved to Calgary to attend The Provincial Institute of Technology and Art in Calgary from 1951 through 1953. Pete met Wilma Stotts and they married in 1954. From there, he moved his fledgling family to Oakland, Calif. in 1956 and worked for Kaiser Steel through 1959. By this time, Pete had moved his family to the east bay town of Walnut Creek, Calif. and went to work for Applied Radiation. From there, the family moved to Concord, Calif. and resided for 14 years. In 1973, Pete designed a home in Incline Village, Nev. in the Lake Tahoe Basin, had it built and moved the family there in 1974.

He worked at his trade, drafting homes and businesses through 1980. At this point in his career, he job shopped, then settled in Minden, Nev. and went to work for Bently Nevada. As luck would have it, old friends and associates from the BayArea kept in touch and talked Pete into moving back to the Bay Area to work at a company called RPC. He resided in Hayward. Pete would finish his career at Eagle Packaging in Oakland, Calif. through 1997 when he retired and moved to Sparks, Nev. He waited for his final home to be built and moved to Truckee in 2000. Pete remained adamantly involved in dancing where ever and when ever he could, drafting, small model building, ardent advice and family events. His frequent visits to his favorite watering holes in the Bay Area and Reno produced many fond friends and memories Pete cherished throughout his life. His pride in his family and his love for dance will live on in us all. A memorial service will be held at the Glenshire Community Center at 15726 Glenshire Dr. in Truckee, Calif. on Sunday, June 28 at 1 p.m. A pot luck lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations in Peteand#8217;s name to your local Organ Tissue Donor Network or you local Hospice Center. May the red-headed angel of dance remain with Pete on his journey home.
