TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Hundreds of little ghouls, ghosts and goblins took to the street this weekend in downtown Truckee for a variety of Halloween activities.

On Friday, marching from the train depot to the Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District Community Center, children and parents showed off their costumes, led by a vintage fire engine.

Once inside the community center, trick-or-treaters collected candy along a loop of volunteers.

and#8220;It’s too bad Truckee doesn’t like to have fun,and#8221; joked Steve Randall, general manager of the district, looking at the crowd stretching from the community center back to Bridge Street.

After the community center, many took the spooky tour of the Truckee Hotel’s haunted house, which also had a line that bent around the block.
