Plumas Bank in Truckee spearheads charity drive

TRUCKEE ” With the current economic slowdown gripping news headlines, more strain has been placed upon our local non-profit charitable organizations in their attempts to obtain donations and awareness. Plumas Bank has come up with a way to lend a hand.

Branch Manager Shelly Wright explains: “We thought this monthly program would be a good way to give everyone in the community a chance to do their part. We want to remind everyone that they can make a difference ” a little bit of their small change can make a big change!”

Each month, beginning February through November of 2009, the Truckee branch of Plumas Bank, in partnership with the Sierra Sun, will promote a different nonprofit organization in an effort to increase awareness and raise desperately needed donations.

To find out how you can help, Plumas Bank invites you to stop by and visit the Truckee office located at 11638 Donner Pass Rd., (across from Truckee High School).

Donations can be made at the Truckee Plumas Bank branch during regular business hours or by directly contacting the non-profit agency profiled.
