Police Reports: The following reports were taken from Town of Truckee Police and Nevada County Sheriff’s logs from Oct. 17 through Oct. 22
At 12 a.m. on Pine Avenue, police received report from Tahoe Forest Hospital Staff that a subject had been assaulted. Victim refused to provide any suspect information and did not wish to pursue any charges.
At 3:50 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a burglar attempt at a commercial building. The entry was apparently stopped due to rear door alarm.
At 5 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a red flannel wallet was found and turned over for safe keeping.
At 11:50 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officer received reports from a local shop employee of a shop lifting in progress. The stolen materials were found in possession of suspect. He was transported to the Nevada County Sheriff office for booking.
At 2 a.m. on Bridge Street, subject was found too intoxicated to safely care for himself or others. After being arrested subject began vomiting and having difficulty breathing. He was transported to the Tahoe Forest Hospital, where he was admitted. The subject was cited for public intoxication.
At 10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations, the driver was found to be unlicensed and open containers of alcoholic beverages were discovered in the vehicle. The driver was cited and released.
At 1 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, an officer stopped a vehicle for code violation. Officer determined that driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. Subject was arrested.
At 4:20 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a burglar attempt. Subject broke out driver’s side window of a business van. Entry was interrupted and subject fled. Police were unable to locate subject and no property was stolen.
At 4:50 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, subject was found intoxicated and causing disturbance in a local market. Upon police instruction to return to his residence, he continued causing disturbance. Subject was arrested and transported to the Nevada County Sheriffs Office for booking.
At 8: 30 p.m. on Glenshire Drive, police received reports of a vehicle over the embankment. Vehicle was involved in a single vehicle non-injury collision. Upon officer’s contact driver showed signs of intoxication. FST’s were performed and subject failed all. The driver was arrested for DUI and was transported to the Nevada County Sheriffs Office for booking.
At 3:45 p.m. on Brockway Road, police received reports of two subjects involved in a physical altercation at the skate park. Both declined any police action.
At 3:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, suspect entered a business complaining about the food and vandalized business bathroom.
At 5 p.m. on Highland Avenue, police reported a two-car collision. A on-duty emergency vehicle was involved.
At 12 a.m. on Dorchester Drive, police stopped a vehicle for swerving and erratic driving. Driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI and charged with felony child endangerment.
