STATELINE, Nev. and#8212; Police used a Taser stun gun to subdue a 19-year-old South Lake Tahoe man who took a naked jaunt past startled onlookers Tuesday afternoon at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Casino.

At about 1:50 p.m., South Lake Tahoe police and Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies received a call about the nude man running east on Highway 50 near Stateline. When the man saw law enforcement officers looking for him in front of Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, he ran into the casino, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Halsey.

The man allegedly ran down the stairs into the casino’s arcade, fol lowed by police, deputies and Harrah’s security personnel, Halsey said. When the man allegedly charged his pursuers in the arcade, officers used a Taser on the man and took him into custody, Halsey said.

The man has a history of similar escapades, Halsey said.

Following Tuesday’s outing, police took the man to Barton Memorial Hospital for a psychologi cal evaluation. If the man is deemed mentally stable, he will be transport ed to Douglas County Jail in Minden and booked on suspicion of indecent exposure and resisting arrest, Halsey said.
