Power tools, copper, cash stolen in late-night Tahoe burglary

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Local law enforcement is offering a $1,000 reward for information about a burglary earlier this week at a shared construction yard where tools, copper, cash and other items were stolen.

According to a press release from Placer County Sheriff Edward N. Bonner, sometime during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 10, unknown suspects broke into a shared construction yard in the 1400 block of River Road in Tahoe City.

The suspects allegedly forcibly entered numerous buildings and vehicles, stealing gas lawn mowers, gas-powered earth compactors, power hand tools, a chop saw, welders, 1-inch, 1.5-inch and 2-inch copper tubing rolls, hundreds of copper and brass fittings and an undisclosed amount of cash.



and#8220;This office is asking the publicand#8217;s assistance in identifying any persons who as of July 10 possessed large amounts of copper, cash and/or the above-mentioned tools,and#8221; Bonner said in the release.
