TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — K2’s NorCal Alliance Team announces the 4th Annual Pink chase Tahoe on Thursday, March 6 at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
The K2 Ski Alliance promotes female presence in the sport and raises money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with various winter events, including Pink Chase Tahoe. All K2 event proceeds go directly to the BCRF on top of a large annual donation from K2 Sports.
Registration fee for Pink Chase Tahoe is $50, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon on-snow instructional sessions, the ultimate skiing Flash Mob, a goodie bag which includes the event T-shirt, and a free raffle with lots of great prizes.
Pink Chase Tahoe will award first, second and third place prizes to the “Most Spirited Dressed in Pink” participants.
The K2 NorCal Alliance Team will also award the top four Pink Chase Tahoe fundraisers.
First and second place winners will receive a pair of specially chosen K2 skis made just for women. Third and fourth place winners will each receive the new GoPro Hero3 Black Edition camera.
Developed in effort to unite female skiers of all ages around the world, the K2 Ski Alliance promotes camaraderie, events and happenings in the female ski community. More than a decade later, the program is not only the primary product testing and development resource for women’s skis, but also it is a major supporter of women’s health causes.
In recognition of the cause, a pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness adorns nearly all of the skis in the K2 women’s collection.
Pink Chase Tahoe is an all day event co-sponsored by the K2 Ski Corp, Bobo’s Ski & Board, GoPro, Arbonne, Nature’s Bakery, 3D designs, Silver Legacy, Eurosock, Black Strap, Big Truck and Superfeet.
Pink Chase Tahoe will run 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Ladies Day (Thursday) lift tickets are $29 when purchased online at skirose.com.
