Rebekah Evans accepts CEO position at Placer County Visitors Bureau

The Placer County Visitors Bureau said Monday, Aug. 21, that Rebekah Evans has accepted an offer to become the next CEO of the organization.
Evans is expected to start her new role on Sept. 5.
"With over 250 applications nationwide, the recruitment and expert interview panel, along with the board of directors, unanimously agreed on a single candidate who demonstrates sophisticated and professional expertise," said Julie Hirota, president of the Placer County Visitors Board of Directors in a statement.
"We're privileged to recruit and hire Rebekah Evans, a tourism professional with exceptional merits and a distinguished resume, as CEO of the Placer County Visitors Bureau."
Evans previously served as executive director of the Ventura County Coast Tourism Business Improvement District. She also served as president and CEO of the Malibu and Moorpark chambers of commerce.
