Red flag fire warning today for northern Sierra

Winds and low humidity predicted for today have caused the National Weather Service in Sacramento to issue a red flag fire warning.
Critical fire conditions will occur from noon to 8 p.m. with expected winds of 12 to 20 mph in the foothills and gusts up to 40 mph at the higher elevations of Nevada County. Humidity levels in the teens will add to the danger.
The high temperature today through Sunday is predicted to be in the mid-80s. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s with no precipitation expected.
