Reno motorist found in snowbank along Mount Rose Highway recovering

The Associated Press

RENO, Nev ” Sheriff’s deputies say a Reno woman is being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after spending the night in her running car that was strapped in a snowbank.

A passerby found the vehicle along a neighborhood street off the Mount Rose Highway early Monday.

He noticed the engine was running, opened the door and found the unconscious woman inside.

Investigators say she apparently left the car running to keep warm after becoming stuck.

The victim was responsive after being treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Renown Regional Medical Center.
