Rescue crews locate lost hikers unharmed near Tahoe Meadows

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; Regional emergency crews have located a group of hikers who lost their way Tuesday morning near the Tahoe Meadows off Highway 431, an official has confirmed.
Mike Brown, chief of the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, said rescue workers located the four people at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, after a search of about an hour and a half.
and#8220;We got all four of them off the hill; they had no medical problems,and#8221; Brown said.
The Washoe County Sheriffand#8217;s Department coordinated the search, Brown said, joined by NLTFPD and Sierra Fire Protection District staff.
The search got under way at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Brown said, after emergency crews made contact with the lost hikers and#8212; who were on showshoee and#8212; through a cell phone call, Brown said.
Tahoe Meadows and#8212; also known as Sheeps Flat and#8212; is located a couple miles north of Incline Village, just south of Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
