Resort Assoc. candidate filing deadline nears

The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association is accepting candidate applications for the election of three members to its board. The three seats available are open to the owner, manager or acting agent in the three following business areas: restaurant, retail, and large lodging.

Eligible candidates will represent member businesses located within the Placer County portion of the North Lake Tahoe membership region.

Applications for eligible candidates must be filed by 5 p.m. Nov. 1.

Ballots for the election will be mailed Nov. 7. Each member of the resort association or North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce is entitled to one vote, and ballots must be returned by Nov. 29.

Results will be announced Dec. 6 at the resort association board meeting at the North Tahoe Community Conference Center.

The resort association is an umbrella organization which operates the chamber of commerce, Tahoe North Visitors and Convention Bureau, and Lake Tahoe Central Reservations. Additionally, the association serves as a partner with Placer County in the development and funding of infrastructure and transit projects.

To file an application and for questions, contact Kathleen MacAllister, director of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, at 581-8734 or by email at
