Robert Jacobs died peacefully at his home on July 9 in Tahoe Donner. He was 67.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 11, 1937, Mr. Jacobs “came West” to San Francisco in 1964. In 1973, he married Lynda Cohn and they spent their honeymoon in Tahoe. Twenty five years later they moved from Menlo Park to Truckee.Jacobs will be remembered for his infectious laugh and dry sense of humor. He loved to go salmon fishing, read books, cuddle his dogs, and make his grandchildren laugh.He is survived by his wife, Lynda Jacobs, three daughters; Dana Jacobs of Palo Alto, Kori King of Truckee, and Amanda Friedrichsen of Truckee, and four grandchildren; Schyuler Cummings, Alicia Friedrichsen, Logan Friedrichsen, and Braydon King. He was lucky enough to be cared for by Truckee Hospice and wanted any memorial contributions in his memory to be sent to Tahoe Forest Hospice, P.O. Box 759, Truckee, CA 96160.
