Sandy Beach is topic of meeting

Property owners and developers Tahoe Vista Partners, LLC, are hosting a community meeting on Monday, March 31 at 5:45 p.m. at Spindleshanks restaurant in Tahoe Vista to discuss their proposed project, Sandy Beach.

Joe Lanza, Ralph Miller and Tim Wilkens want to hear the community’s thoughts on their proposed 45 tourist-accomodation-unit and 10 affordable-housing unit project in the heart of Tahoe Vista.

“All we get to hear is something at the [TRPA] governing board [meetings] where they only get two minutes,” Lanza said. “And we know they have a lot more to say than that.”

Lanza said he hopes the community forum will give his partners a chance to hear what the community’s opinions.

“These are our friends and neighbors,” Lanza said. “It’s best that we kind of sit there together for awhile and mull it over.”
