School District Trustee race: Livak, Mohun win seats

Kirsten Livak won a seat as a school district trustee.

Kirsten Livak and Lisa Mohun won two seats as Tahoe Truckee School District Trustees Tuesday night.

In Nevada County, Livak won the School District’s Area 2 seat 67.3 percent to 32.7 percent for incumbent Monty Folsom, with a 3,338-1,622 vote edge. Livak took Placer County, 61.7 percent to 37.9 percent, with 78 percent reporting as of 2 a.m.

In the Area 4 election, contested between Nancy Gisko and challenger Lisa Mohun for a two-year term, Mohun won Placer County 58.8 percent to 40.8 percent, outdrawing Gisko 1,835-1,275 at the polls, with 78 percent reporting.

Likewise, Mohun won Nevada County precinct in resounding fashion, garnering 64.8 percent of the votes to Gisko’s 35.2 percent, a 3,250 to 1,766 vote split.
