Scott, Darrell Warren

Darrell Warren Scott, born Nov. 4, 1946 in Berkeley, Calif., passed away Jan. 12, 2008, in Mesa, Ariz. at age 61 from diabetes complications. He grew up in South Lake Tahoe, Nev. and attended George Whittell High School. After his time in the Marine Corps, Darrell attended CSU Hayward, where he received his B.A. degree and California teaching credential. He spent many years in Hayward as a reading specialist and high school history teacher.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Willabeth and Warren Scott. He is survived by his only child Shauna Alish Scott of Folsom, Calif., his ex-wife Karen Scott, his loving sister J.K. Scott, nephew Tony Ronzone and many more family and friends in Arizona, California and Nevada.

Darrell had great passion and a sharp wit and shared his knowledge and time freely with those he knew and loved. He will be greatly missed, often thought of and never forgotten.
