Search for Truckee High School principal suspended

TAHOE/TRUCKEE and#8212; The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District has put its search for a new Truckee High School principal on hold.

According to a Tuesday press release, the decision was made after a screening process had whittled the choice down to two applicants, at which time the top candidate withdrew, citing family and relocation issues.

and#8220;I am not comfortable moving forward with only one finalist, so I am stopping the process at this point,and#8221; said TTUSD Superintendent Rob Leri in a statement. and#8220;I do not want to settle on a principal for Truckee High; itand#8217;s simply too important.and#8221;

According to the press release, the district reposted the position on April 30 and will turn to additional resources to help recruit. Leri said he anticipates a new round of interviews will be conducted some time near the end of May or beginning of June.
