Search for Truckee High School principal under way

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The search for a new Truckee High School principal is under way, with a total of 19 applicants applying for the position.

Over the next month, school district staff will continue the screening and interview process in hopes of appointing a new principal by mid-May, said Craig Smith of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District human resources department.

David Putney, current Truckee High principal, announced his retirement in a letter to the community dated February 8.
