Senior health fair planned for May 19

A free senior luncheon and health fair will be held Saturday, May 19 at the Truckee Senior Center.

Health screenings will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include foot assessments, blood pressure and heart rate evaluations, and breast cancer, prostate cancer, and skin cancer screenings.

Lunch will be served at noon.

The health fair organizers hope to inform area seniors about the new, free programs and special events that are available at the senior center.

The programs are free to all seniors over the age of 50 and is funded through a grant from the Area 4 Agency on Aging.

Reservations for certain programs are recommended and donations are greatly appreciated.
