Sheriff’s office plans speed patrols in neighborhoods

Staff Reports

A Nevada County Sheriff’s Office traffic officer will be working radar on Dorchester and Glenshire Drive Friday, May 21, Sgt. Tom Carrington announced in a press release this week.

Carrington said the traffic officer will be doing enforcement in the area during various times of the day, and that the speed limit on the areas to be patrolled ia 25 mph.

During daylight hours on Saturday, May 22, Carrington said the traffic officer will be enforcing the 35 mph speed limit in the Northwoods and Hansel area of Tahoe Donner.

Other roads patrolled

NCSO will also be actively enforcing speed limits on other roadways in the subdivision, he said.

Carrington said NCSO notifies residents of the traffic enforcement plans as a courtesy, and urges everyone to drive safely.
