Sierra Pacific donates chipping truck to North Tahoe

Sierra Pacific Power Company donated a 1-ton truck to North Tahoe fire crews that offer free chipping and defensible space inspection on the North Shore.

The new truck will be used to transport equipment and workers during the North Tahoe Fire Protection District’s busy summer schedule. It replaces an old truck that no longer works.

The district’s forest fuels program, which relies on grants and donations to provide its free chipping, can be reached at 546-2212.
