Sierra Sun election letter policy for March 8 special election

TRUCKEE/TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; In addition to the Sierra Sunand#8217;s standard policy for editorial-page submissions, weand#8217;d like to remind everyone of our policy regarding election letters and My Turn columns regarding elections.

The opinion pages are a forum for comments on candidates and political issues. However, the Sun will not publish personal attacks and reserves the right to limit the number of rebuttals.

If a letter is written as part of a campaign, the affiliation must be clearly stated. Political letters for the special March 8 general election will not be printed after the Wednesday, March 2, print edition of the Sierra Sun and#8212; including online at http://www.sierrasun.com and#8212; unless deemed necessary for a reply to a previous issue.
