Smoke north of Truckee comes from controlled burn

The U.S. Forest Service is currently conducting a 50-acre controlled burn at the Little Truckee Summit, north of the Town of Truckee, as well as a 100-acre controlled burn in Cal Pine, also north of the Town of Truckee, according to Gene Welch of the Truckee Fire Protection District. Smoke from the burns may be visible in Truckee.
