The Sierra Nevada College Concert Choir, under the direction of Donna Axton, presents its Annual Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 341 Village Blvd., Incline Village.

It’s the time of year to bring on holiday cheer, and who better to get us in the mood than the Sierra Nevada College Concert Choir? This year’s performances of St. Saens’ beautiful “Christmas Oratorio” and Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” do just that.

Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door. Kids under 12, and SNC students, faculty and staff are free. Outlets include Potlatch, Handmade at the Lake, SNC Bookstore in Incline, and The Store in Tahoe City. You can also purchase advance tickets from Choir members. Please join us and enjoy a night that is sure to leave you feeling inspired.

Both of these pieces feature harp, and we are fortunate to have Marina Roznitovsky Oster as our heavenly harpist, and a small string orchestra. Besides our wonderful 50-member concert choir, featured solos are sung by David Pierce, Kevin Beiswenger, Lisa Hoopes, Lorelei van Peborgh, Heather Shook, Mary Collins, Karen Colbert, and Rowan and Miles Behrens. We also sing seasonal favorites to lift your spirits.

The Sierra Nevada College Concert Choir is a group of 50 community and college members. We have been bringing great music to this area for 31 years, and are dedicated to musical excellence and joyful performance of beautiful music. Donna Axton has been conductor and musical director of the choir for the last 14 years.
