Snow slows traffic on I-80

The Associated Press

RENO, Nev. ” Snow and blustery winds have reduced the morning commute in Reno to a crawl.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says visibility in some areas is near zero, and roads are snow covered and slick. Chains or snow tires are required on Interstate 80 over Donner Summit and U.S. 395 north of Reno.

Streets in the downtown area also are covered.

Snow moved in just before dawn, taking many drivers by surprise.
