Big Blue Adventure to host 7.9-mile Run to Squaw race

Big Blue Adventure will kick off its summer racing season with the inaugural Run to Squaw event this Sunday, June 26.

The run, which measures 7.9 miles, starts at Commons Beach in Tahoe City and follows the Truckee River to a short, moderate climb up to the finish at Village at Squaw Valley. Competitors can either register as individual racers or in teams. Teams will be judged on their cumulative race time, and teams of more than five racers will be judged on the total time of the five fastest finishers.

Racers are to meet at the finish at the Village at Squaw Valley at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, and then be shuttled to the start. Cost is $45 for individuals and $55 for teams until June 24. Race-day registration is $55 for individuals and $65 for teams.
